This morning we woke up to completely different weather compared to when we arrived yesterday afternoon. When we arrived in Cheyenne it was in the 60s with clear, beautiful skies. Here is little Honu sitting in front of the Willis household while the weather was nice when we arrived.
A blizzard came through last night, the temp dropped to 30F, and everything was covered in about 6 inches of snow when we woke up! Kayla sent me these pictures of her yard (but these were actually taken during the summer) so I could make this before and after snow collage!
Kayla and I had to go to the grocery store so we hopped in her Subaru Forester to brave the storm. Even in her 4wd we almost got stuck on the steep hills in her neighborhood. We had to turn around eventually and go a different way that wasn't so steep. We almost got stuck a few more times in the whiteout conditions which was super scary for me since I had never been in a snowstorm before!
Once we made it back safe and sound we just relaxed all evening because it continued to snow off and on all day.
Since we didn't do anything there aren't a lot of pictures from today, but here are some of the snow! These are from the morning when we first woke up.

Below is little Honu after we got back from the store and the sidewalks had been plowed. Check out that icicle on the tire!
We're going to start embedding videos in these posts. Right now we are thinking just one or two from each stop. You will be able to find the rest on our YouTube channel, DedosDoAmerica.
Lesson of the Day: Apparently weather can change super fast in the mountains! I couldn't believe it went from super nice to snow storm in less than 8 hours.
