Sorry it has been a while since we posted anything new, but I did want to give an update while we are trying to catch up on all the blog entries from the roadtrip. I also wanted to let everyone know that as we catch up and post entries they will be posted as the date it actually took place. You will have to scroll down below or look through the archives folder to see the newly posted blogs.

Mid-June we left Texas to finish the last 28 states and 13 National Parks on the itinerary. We arrived back to our starting point in Texas the evening of July 7th after 120 days and about 26,000 miles of driving. The trip was everything we hoped it would be and more! During the trip we had:
0 speeding tickets, 0 roadkills, 1 driving backwards on the interstate, 1 time locked out of car, 1 lost item, 1 pair of shoes killed, 10 bright orange duct tape repair bandaids on various gear, 22 friends/family visits along the way, saw over 50 species of animals, 1 really crazy zig-zaggy loop around America, 47 national parks and many other cool places, 49 states, over 300 YouTube videos, and over 6500 photos!!! It was definitely an amazing adventure of a lifetime and we are so thankful we were  able to celebrate the National Park Service's Centennial birthday year by exploring all the parks!

On July 13th we flew from Austin, Texas to Hawaii to knock off state 50 and get married. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and everything turned out exactly how we wanted and more! Since the wedding we have been unpacking and settling into our new home in our new city, Austin. Evan's classes started on Monday and I am now focusing on getting the perfect job. Once I get that job I will have a very exciting announcement for everyone. Until then I am diligently working to get my journal notes from the trip turned into blog entries!
